Parish councils are the democratic bodies with the closest links to their communities and are the first tier of Local Government. They make a vital contribution toward the priorities contained within the community strategies which are prepared by Central Bedfordshire Council.

Marston Moreteyne Parish Council responds to planning applications, maintains play areas and the skate park, undertakes verge and amenity land grass cutting and maintains the war memorial. The work of a Parish Council is often challenging but also rewarding. The Council also works closely with voluntary groups in the community.

If you are interested and want to become more involved with your community then why not consider applying to become a parish councillor.

Monthly meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month with the exception of August & December.

Many members are representatives on charities and groups and regularly bring updates to the Parish Council at the monthly meetings.

If you require further details or wish to apply please contact the Parish Clerk on 01234 743598 or write to Mrs. H. Trustam (Parish Clerk) Marston Moreteyne Parish Council, 30 Armstrong Close, Wilstead, Bedford, MK45 3EJ.
