Central Bedfordshire Council is consulting on its draft local plan which sets out the options for growth in Central Bedfordshire over the next 20 years.

One of the options being proposed is to develop a series of up to four new villages and a business park in Marston Vale.  The   development would lie west of Marston Moreteyne, north of Lidlington and east of Brogborough.   The development would include:

  •  up to 5,000 new homes
  •  community facilities and services,
  •  plus a minimum of 40 hectares of employment land which would include

                Research and development

                Office

                Distribution

                Manufacturing

                Services and tourism.

Full details of the draft local plan can be viewed on CBC’s website: www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/localplan

During the consultation, CBC will be holding four public drop-in events where you can speak to council officers and ask questions.  The closest drop-in event to Marston Moretyene is on Thursday 25th January - Lidlington Village Hall - between 3pm and 7.30pm.
